I first began working with watercolors after I retired in 2005.

While painting fulfills my desire to be creative, at the

same time, it is relaxing--even mindful--and fun.

I love nature and try to present that visually in my 

work,  both realistic and imaginative florals,

landscapes --  and my “birds”.

I tend to use bright and bold colors.

In one form of expression or another, art has

always been a part of my life. Watercolor has been

the most enjoyable. And then, I discovered working

with watercolors on Yupo paper is as fun as

working with Alcohol Inks!

For the past few years, painting has been all about “fun”

-- as you will see in my sweet Emu (bird) and rooster collections. I have also added symbolic

“Memorial Monograms” or “In Memory Of”

paintings.  My first "Memorial Monogram"

was in honor of my best friend. I found it peaceful to

draw out her initials and then paint thoughtfully and

mindfully around them. I believe that particular painting 

struck at the heart strings of others as well who

have lost a loved one, and I've been honored to

do several commissions.
